Youtube has launched their new preview features and it looks awesome. Now we can look ahead in the YouTube player, isn't great? I think it is, especially if you are watching a video that is more than your average 3 - 10 minutes in length. No more waiting or guessing where to click when you want to scan forward or back in a long video.

Above you can see for yourself what this new feature looks like in the Life In A Day video. I have played around with this feature and I can honestly say it makes YouTube an even greater experience. The possibilities are endless and I know this will benefit a lot of people.
There is of course many ways you can use this feature but here is some highlights as per the YouTube blog. I hope you can see the advantages as I did with the below
If you watching a video and you just can not wait any longer to see what happens later, then you can just hover you mouse over the timeline to see a thumbnail of that specific frame.
If you have lost your place or you want to find a specific place in the video, you can now do this by dragging the slider and paging through some thumbnails. This is the YouTube preview feature I fancy the most!

Ok this feature is specific for movies longer than 90 Minutes. Like the dedicated movies section in YouTube. You can zoom in the seek bar itself for one and half minutes at a time. The second bar is more exact and ads to precession searches.
If you want to play around with the YouTube preview features yourself check out the video of Life In A Day below:
