Google Upcoming Events Now in Search Results
Now you can see upcoming events in Google search, this is great news for bands and other entities that always have upcoming events and wants to stand out on the SERPs. All you have to do for your website is add some event markup code from schema.org.
I am sure all the bands and event planner companies are going to use and implement this markup as soon as possible. What really makes this awesome is what I liked to call SERP side-advertising and its all free, as long as you add some code.
So now some one is searching for a band and boom below their result they can see upcoming events, this is advertising that is priceless if you ask me. So lets say I do a search on rock bands and the top 10 bands are displayed on Google, hmmm one of them has events on their listing, If I was a new rock music lover I might just trust and click on the band with the events listing added rather than one of the other listings.
So bands out there and concert, event planner companies go and add this code as soon as possible with your latest events.
