Google maps interior view and indoors for Google Maps 6.0 for Android is here. This is some of the latest innovations from Google Maps and I must say it looks awesome!
If you are a business owner or a Android user, these latest features from Google Maps are surely going to rock your world and bring even more ease of use factors to people out there. As business owners with Business Photos from Google your business is going to have a even more professional presence on the web for your consumers. If you own a tabbed device or mobile device running on Google's Android and you install the latest Google Maps 6.0 you will be able to get indoors mapping data from places like airports, shopping malls or even a retail store.
Imagine walking in a shopping centre like Menlyn Shopping Mall looking for the closest KFC and being able to quickly tap a few taps on your mobile device and being able to pinpoint it and navigate yourself over for a burger. No more looking for a info kiosk etc.
With Google Interior view exploring a shop from the inside before even visiting the shop is now a dream come true. Check out where you want to site before phoning in a booking or look and decide whether you like the decor of the place.
So with Google Business Photos people would be able to walk inside a shop and browse around as if they were physically in the shop. Here is a sample, walk around in Susan Avery Flowers and Event Styling Australia.
For now Google Business Photo shoots are only available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, UK and France. There has been some talks on radio and people calling in stating they have attend a Google breakfast where Google stated they are launching in South Africa very soon.
So if you are in the USA or Japan right now with a Android driven device and Google Maps 6.0 then you are able to check some indoors mapping data and even with 3D titling. Google has partnered with some of the largest retailers, airports and transit stations to bring you this new indoors mapping data to make your life easier when it comes to finding your way around.

This is really super cool from Google and just hope we see this in South Africa soon, I asked Google to quote on availability in South Africa and will post an update with their comments as soon as I have it.
